During it's take-off run from Los Angeles, Ameerican Airlines flight AA711, a DC10 bound for New York, experienced power problems, which affected the No1 and No2 engines. (Port and tail). The aircraft had reached take-off speed, and point of no return and was therefore commited to becoming airbourne. The Captain had to get the aircraft down as quickly and safely as possible
